About KNF Properties

KNF Properties is transforming property ownership in Cameroon by combining a property marketplace with a Property Protection Registry. Our mission is to protect property owners from fraud while ensuring all listings comply with Cameroonian property laws, customary land practices, and official documentation requirements.

We are seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, manage legal risks, and ensure the integrity of our property verification processes.

Role Summary

As the Legal & Compliance Officer, you will ensure that all property registrations, verification processes, and transactions comply with Cameroon’s land laws and regulations. You will also support dispute resolution, advise on legal risks, and help maintain the trustworthiness of KNF Properties’ platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Review property listings and documents to ensure legal compliance.
• Advise on Cameroon land laws, customary ownership practices, leases, and allocations.
• Support the Verification Engine team to flag potential legal or fraud issues.
• Draft, review, and update internal policies and contracts.
• Handle dispute resolution between property owners and buyers, providing legal guidance.
• Ensure KNF Properties complies with data protection, privacy, and property regulations.
• Collaborate with government offices, surveyors, and local authorities for verification and compliance purposes.
• Conduct periodic audits of property registrations and verification processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, preferably with a focus on property, land, or real estate law.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal compliance, property law, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Cameroon property laws, customary land practices, and government procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret legal documents and provide practical guidance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teams, authorities, and clients.
• High integrity, ethics, and discretion when handling sensitive property data.
