Electronic Communications

Important information about account notices, email, SMS, electronic records, and optional communications from KnF Trust.

Version 1.0-draft · Draft — Pending Legal Review

1. Purpose and scope

This disclosure explains how KnF Trust may communicate electronically with users of its Cameroon-focused property platform, including users who access the service from abroad.

It is a platform disclosure, not a representation that Cameroon has adopted a foreign electronic communications disclosure framework.

2. Electronic account communications

KnF Trust may send electronic notices relating to registration, account access, security, identity checks, property verification, requested services, payment activity, and transaction updates. Available delivery channels may include email, SMS, and secure in-platform notifications.

3. Verification codes and security alerts

One-time verification codes and security alerts may be sent to confirm contact details, authorize sensitive actions, or help protect an account.

Receiving a verification message does not mean that identity, property ownership, or a transaction has been independently verified. Never share a verification code with another person.

4. Telephone numbers and SMS delivery

Users should provide a telephone number they control and keep it accurate. Delivery may depend on the country, mobile network, operator restrictions, and availability of an approved messaging provider.

KnF Trust must not promise SMS availability for a country or network until the relevant delivery service is operational. Standard carrier charges may apply.

5. Essential notices and optional marketing

Essential account, security, legal, and service-related notices are separate from optional promotional messages. Users do not need to subscribe to marketing to receive essential communications for services they request.

Promotional communications should require an appropriate legal basis and provide a practical method to withdraw consent or unsubscribe where required.

6. Email communications

KnF Trust may use email to send account confirmations, verification links, security notifications, receipts, service information, and other relevant records. Users should maintain access to their registered email address and review messages carefully for possible impersonation.

7. Electronic records and acknowledgements

KnF Trust may present terms, policies, service requests, acknowledgements, and transaction records electronically where permitted by applicable law.

An electronic acknowledgement is not automatically a legally sufficient signature for every land-related transaction. Formalities requiring notarization, registration, original documents, or official approval remain applicable.

8. Accessing and keeping records

Users may need a compatible device, internet access, and an active email address or telephone number to receive electronic communications. Important records should be made available in an appropriate durable format where required by law or the relevant service agreement.

9. Delivery failures and contact changes

Electronic messages can be delayed, filtered, or undelivered. Users should keep their contact information current. KnF Trust should provide an appropriate alternative or recovery process where an essential verification channel is unavailable.

10. Messaging and technology providers

KnF Trust may use authorized communications providers for email, SMS, or verification services. Such providers may process destination details and delivery metadata for the relevant service. Actual providers and any international transfers must be accurately disclosed in the final Privacy Policy.

11. Withdrawal and communication preferences

Users should be able to manage optional marketing preferences independently of essential service notices. Where withdrawal of electronic communications consent affects access to a requested service, KnF Trust should explain the consequences and available alternatives.

Withdrawal does not automatically invalidate electronic records or transactions previously completed lawfully.

12. Applicable law and contact

Electronic communications and related records are subject to applicable Cameroon laws, including relevant requirements concerning electronic commerce, electronic communications, cybersecurity, and personal data protection.
